Free Service Provided by City of Charleston
You don’t have to have Tour Pass to take advantage of this service…it’s free for everyone! CARTA is Charleston’s bus service. It is free downtown but costs a nominal fee to go other places throughout the city.
There are 3 routes for downtown. Service hours: Weekdays: 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays: 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Pass purchases can be refunded (minus 3% credit card processing fees) if requested within thirty-days of purchase date (for unused passes). Optional Trip Insurance can be purchased for a nominal fee at checkout which extends the refund period up to one-year from purchase date. Conditions apply.
